BALANCE
formerly Boundaries & Balance
Balance is an 8-week online group coaching programme for high-achieving women who want more energy at the end of the day, rest without the guilt and a clearer sense of who they are underneath it all. You'll learn what's actually driving the exhaustion, get clear on what matters most to you and build boundaries that hold - alongside a small group of women carrying the same invisible load.

“
Honestly, the most impactful part was feeling normal - realising that everyone else didn't have it all together either. It was such a relief to be surrounded by wāhine who got it, who understood what it's like to carry too much.

You're the one everyone counts on - capable, reliable, the person who always seems to have it handled, at work and at home.
The trouble is you have it so well-handled that no one ever sees what it costs you to keep it that way.
Underneath the competence, you're exhausted in a way that sleep doesn't fix.
By the time everything is finally ticked off and the house has gone quiet, there's nothing left in the tank.
For everyone else, you follow through. The work gets done, the people you love are looked after, the thing you promised gets handled. It always does.
It's the things for you that don't happen. The walk, the project, the early night, the plan you were genuinely going to start this week - they keep sliding to "later," and by the time the day is done there's nothing left in you to reach for them.
So the guilt stacks up - all the things you meant to do and didn't, again.
Underneath it all sits the question you can't shake: "Why can't I get out of my own way?"
You're not in your own way. You've tried plenty.
The thing is, you can hold a boundary when it's obvious - the unreasonable ask, the clear line you won't cross. It's the small, everyday ones that slip past.
A colleague messages with a request at 6pm, just as you've walked in the door to an evening that's finally yours. You reply automatically - "sure, no problem" - get the laptop back out, and see to it. You don't want to, your body makes it clear; the tight chest, the flicker of resentment, the heavy sigh - but you talk yourself past it, and the evening slips away, again.
That's the pattern. Not that you can't set a boundary - it's that you keep crossing the ones that protect your own time and needs, without even noticing you've done it.
Each one seems like nothing at first, but over time - they push your wants and needs to the bottom of the list - and that's exactly what BALANCE helps you change.
You get to the end of the day with something still left in the tank. Enough to go for the walk, or start the thing you've been meaning to get to, instead of collapsing on the couch to recover from the day
You take time for yourself without the running tally of everything you should be doing instead. Rest stops being something you have to earn
The grip of perfectionism and people-pleasing starts to loosen. You stop needing it done perfectly, or everyone around you kept happy, before you'll let yourself accept that good enough is good enough
You say no and let it be no - instead of wrapping it in an apology and three reasons why
You start trusting your own read on things, rather than second-guessing every decision or running it past everyone else first. You make a call and let it stay made, instead of turning it over at 1am for the next three nights
Stress starts to move through you instead of settling into your body for days. You can be under real pressure without it tipping you into overwhelm - with room again for the hobby, or the bit of fun that always seems to get bumped
The people you love start getting a version of you that hasn't already been spent on everyone (and everything) else - and work feels more like something you're in than something you're getting through, with weekends that fill you back up rather than being the days you recover from the week
You get a clearer sense of who you are underneath the roles and responsibilities you carry - what you actually value, and choices that honour your own capacity and needs, not just everyone else's
formerly Boundaries & Balance
Balance is an 8-week online group coaching programme for high-achieving women who are ready to stop running on empty and feel like themselves again.
BALANCE was created to help you become aware of, and start to shift the patterns underneath the exhaustion - the automatic yes, the standards nothing ever quite meets, the push-through mentality - alongside a small group of women who understand the mental load modern women carry, because they carry it too.
Across 8 weeks, you'll be supported to:
Learn what a boundary actually is, what it isn't, and how values are fundamental to holding them
Understand how your nervous system responds to stress and pressure, and learn to read your own unique signals, so you can act from alignment rather than react from overwhelm
Become aware of what your fear is protecting, what it's costing and learn to read it as information rather than a stop sign
Learn where true confidence comes from - internal self-trust rather than external performance - anchored in your own strengths and values
Develop boundary communication skills so you can speak and hold your line, regardless of how others react
Practise creating, setting and reflecting on aligned S.M.A.R.T goals/experiments that work with your life, not against it
Listen, share, reflect and celebrate the learnings alongside a small group of women who genuinely get it - the part almost no one expects to matter as much as it does

Balance runs on the Nat Hugill Method - the approach I developed as the foundation of my coaching, grounded in neuroscience and somatic practice. It works with your nervous system, not against it.
Through it, you'll:
Become aware of the patterns keeping you stuck
Understand why they exist
Learn to read the signals your body has been sending all along
Create new patterns through small, aligned actions that help them stick
So a boundary holds on its own, and the second-guessing gives way to trusting your own judgement.

BALANCE is online group coaching that begins and ends one-on-one. Week one is a private foundation session with me to get clear on your focus, and week eight is a private session to help you carry it forward - with six weekly group sessions in between. The beauty of BALANCE is that you get access to two layers of support - focused one-on-one time with me, plus the warm, community support of women who hear, see and validate your experience throughout.
The group meets online on Thursdays from 12pm - 1pm on weeks 2 - 7, with the session opening 10 minutes early for an optional chat/catch-up before we start.
From week one you'll have access to your Ivorey community portal with the full programme + modules inside, as well as meet the other wāhine in your cohort in the WhatsApp group, where you can stay connected and receive support between sessions.
See the programme structure and themes you'll explore each week below.
We begin one-on-one, mapping where you are now across the different areas of your life and setting out what you want to be different.
This week, you'll:
- Map where you are right now across the different areas of your life with me, and become aware of the patterns running underneath
- Get clear on your vision for what you want to be different
- Set your first weekly goals/experiments to work towards, at your own pace
You'll also receive detailed client notes in this session, for you to refer to across the 8-weeks and mark where you started.
So you start with a clear picture of where you are now, and a first step towards what you want to be different.
Your first official group week - meeting the other women in your cohort, understanding what boundaries really are and the values that sit underneath them.
This week, you'll:
- Understand what a boundary is, what it isn't and the importance of boundary setting
- Clarify your own values and connect them to real boundary decisions
- Meet your group, share what's coming up for you, and set your first values-aligned goal for the week
So you can start setting boundaries that are rooted in your own values.
Learning to read your nervous system - what it does under stress, and how to tell your body's yes from its no.
This week, you'll:
- Understand how your nervous system responds under stress, and recognise your own survival response - fight, flight, freeze or fawn
- Practise reading your body's signals for yes and no
- Connect those signals to real boundary and everyday decisions
- Bring the week's learning into live group coaching, reflect on how last week's goal went, and set your aligned goal/experiment for the week
So you can start reading your body's signals as a compass for your aligned yes and no.
Looking at the fear underneath the patterns that keep you stuck - like perfectionism or people-pleasing - and learning to read it differently.
This week, you'll:
- Understand perfectionism, people-pleasing or self-doubt for the protective patterns they are
- Learn to read fear as a signpost rather than a stop sign
- Be able to tell an ego-based choice from a values-based one
- Bring the week's learning into live group coaching, reflect on how last week's goal went, and set a goal/experiment for the week ahead
So you can see when fear is behind the automatic yes or the need to get everything perfect, and choose from your values instead.
Learn where your confidence actually comes from - and how to move it from external performance and approval towards internal self-trust.
This week, you'll:
- Redefine confidence as self-trust rather than performance
- Recognise the Approval Trap
- Name your own strengths and anchor your confidence in values, body signals and boundaries
- Bring the week's learning into live group coaching, reflect on how last week's goal went, and set your goal/experiment for the week
So you can build confidence that comes from grounded self-trust - from the inside out, rather than the outside, in.
With the inner work in place, this is where you learn to say a boundary out loud and hold it confidently.
This week, you'll:
- Learn the difference between a boundary you hold and an expectation you voice
- Get a clear, repeatable way to say a boundary and hold it through the other person's reaction
- Practise saying it out loud in the group, and notice where the fawn reflex shows up
- Bring the week's learning into live group coaching, reflect on how last week's goal went, and set your goal/experiment for the week ahead
So you can say a boundary clearly, and hold it regardless of how someone may react.
The final group session - looking back at what's shifted since week one - in your own words - and reflecting on it together.
This week, you'll:
- Revisit your week one client notes and notice how your own language has changed
- Reflect on what's shifted across your boundaries, energy and confidence
- Name the ripple effects across the different areas of your life, and close the group together
So you can reflect, share and celebrate your learnings in community.
We finish the way we started, one-on-one, and build a framework to maintain your progress once the programme's over.
This week, you'll:
- Look back across the different areas of your life and see how far you've come since week one
- Name what you most want to keep practising
- Be introduced to a maintenance plan framework you can use to ensure you can continue to support yourself to action the changes you've been actioning over the past 8 weeks
So you can leave with a framework that helps you continue to action the change once the programme ends, and know what supports you have available when obstacles occur.
If your first thought is that you don't have time to add another thing to your plate, that's exactly what this part is here to answer. BALANCE is built to give you room back, not take more of it - so it fits around your life rather than adding to it.
The way it's designed does that work for you:
Everything lives in one place, in your Ivorey portal - nothing scattered to chase down
The whole programme is open from week one, and you move through the modules when it works for you - nothing's gated or drip-fed
The modules are short and commute-friendly - made for the drive to work or a walk, not another block in your calendar
Every live session is recorded and shared within 24 hours, so if life gets in the way, it's there to come back to
Life gets full, and that's understood - so no session depends on prep, and there's no such thing as falling behind
You take part in weekly group sessions however feels right - speak up, use the chat or just listen, with cameras always optional
None of this is guesswork. Balance was shaped around real market research and the feedback of the women who came before you - so it's built around the life you're actually living, not an ideal one.

Establishing boundaries has helped me let go of mental loads that were never mine to carry, and having the confidence to communicate my wellbeing needs has lifted a huge weight off my shoulders.

Kia ora, I'm Nat - a certified and accredited Nervous System & Burnout Coach for high-achieving women. I help you rebuild your clarity, capacity and self-trust, so you can live fully and lead sustainably, without burnout.
I know the high-pressure world you're living in from the inside out, because I lived it too.
For nearly two decades I worked in high-pressure event production and live performance. From the outside I was capable, reliable, the one who could hold it together under any amount of pressure. Underneath, my worth was completely fused with achievement, and I was running on empty to keep it all up.
When burnout finally forced me to stop - eight months of my life, and a diagnosis on my 37th birthday - I had to look honestly at what drove me there. What I found was that the patterns underneath weren't personal failings. They were learned - built long before work ever got hold of them, to keep me safe, accepted or valued. Work just gave them their biggest stage yet.
What changed how I moved forward wasn't trying harder or thinking my way out - it was learning to work with my nervous system instead of against it - to feel my way through, read the signals I'd been overriding and build the self-trust to choose differently. My ambition didn't change - the fuel did.
I built BALANCE for the women who are where I once was - feeling the pressure of holding everything together and feeling alone in the weight they carry. It's the support I wish I'd had: real tools that hold up in everyday life, supported by a small group of women who understand the load, so no one has to do it alone.
Nat Hugill is an HCANZA-accredited coach and an AFPA-certified Master Health & Wellness Coach, with trauma-led CPD training. Her practice is trauma-informed, neuroaffirming and LGBTQI+ friendly.
Nat creates an incredibly welcoming, safe and supportive environment, where you feel instantly at ease and keen to share and listen. I loved the combination of educational resources and tools with group coaching sessions and 1:1s. An awesome experience which I'd recommend to anyone wanting to create more balance and harmony in their life.
AMBER
I came in feeling stretched thin and lost in my boundaries and priorities, and walked away with clarity, confidence, and a toolkit I can actually use in real life - not just 'nice ideas' that get forgotten in moments of chaos. The growth felt doable rather than overwhelming. I'd recommend it to anyone who's ready to take themselves seriously in the softest, kindest way possible.
GEMMA
When I started, I was completely running on empty. My self-worth and confidence were low, my energy was chronically depleted and I felt like I never had enough in the tank to get by. Now I feel more clarity than I've ever had about who I am and what's important to me. My sense of self is becoming more stable and I feel a lot calmer and more confident in my ability to handle the day.
V
I'd never even considered what my core values might be before - how wild is that? I'd been living to other people's standards instead of figuring out my own. Now those values guide my choices, big and small. The confidence I've built means I can stay aligned with my values rather than being pulled into everyone else's expectations. For the first time, I feel clear, steady and genuinely proud of the way I show up.

This programme may be a good fit for you if:
You keep defaulting to old patterns - people-pleasing, perfectionism, saying yes before you've checked you've got the capacity - even though part of you knows they're wearing you out
Rest doesn't come easily - it feels unproductive, or like something you have to earn first
The line between work and the rest of your life has all but disappeared
You second-guess your decisions, and look to everyone else to confirm you've got it right
You sense there's more you want from your life, but reaching for it brings up guilt, fear or self-doubt
You're done with quick fixes, and you want change that actually holds
You're ready to stop carrying it all on your own
Underneath the boundaries and more ease in your week, this is really about one thing - getting yourself back.
Enough of you left for your own life - to be a person in it, not just a function in everyone else's, and no longer the last thing on your own list. To feel worthy without having to earn it and to feel like yourself again underneath all the roles you carry.
BALANCE is eight weeks of coaching, held from your first session to your last. Here's everything your place includes:
Two private 1:1 sessions with me - one to map where you're starting from, one to help you carry it forward
Six weekly live group sessions, alongside a small group of 6 to 8 women
Five self-paced education modules
Every worksheet, tool and resource, together in your Ivorey portal
Every live session recorded and shared within 24 hours
A private WhatsApp group for support between sessions
Lifetime access - everything in your portal is yours to keep, to revisit whenever you need
Choose the option that suits you:
Flexible plan - $2,700 NZD, spread over 3, 4 or 6 months
Pay in full - $2,160 NZD (save 20%)
From the moment you enrol, a welcome bundle of mindfulness and wellbeing resources is yours to use straight away - with your full programme opening in week one.
They're for coaching, connection and applying the work - not lectures. The education lives in your modules, so our live time is spent reflecting, practising somatic tools, working through real scenarios and being coached within a supported group.
Intentionally small - 6 to 8 women - so the space stays intimate and everyone feels seen, held and supported.
Only ever as much as you choose - you can speak, use the chat, or simply listen, and cameras are optional. Participation is always yours to decide. And it stays private: in our first session the group writes its own confidentiality agreement, in your own words, and what's shared in the group stays in the group. You'll also sign a coaching agreement with clear confidentiality terms when you enrol.
Most high-achieving women have already tried thinking their way out of this, and knowing what you should do was never the problem. BALANCE works with your nervous system, not against it, so the change happens at the level where the patterns actually live. It also starts with what you're protecting and why - because a boundary you haven't defined is very hard to hold.
The next cohort begins the week of 21 September 2026, starting with your private 1:1 foundation session that week, and the first group session on Thursday 1 October. From there, live group sessions run Thursdays, 12-1pm New Zealand time, for weeks 2 to 7 - the room opens 10 minutes early, from 11:50, for an optional catch-up. Your second 1:1 lands in the final week, in mid-November. It all runs online via Google Meet, so you can join from anywhere in New Zealand.
In practice, around an hour and a half - one live session at lunchtime, and a short, commute-friendly module you can watch whenever suits, on your commute, your walk, or from home. Everything's recorded, so nothing's lost if you miss a week. It's built to flex around a full life rather than the other way around.
We'd love to see you each week, but life happens. Every session is recorded and shared afterwards, and the WhatsApp group keeps you connected and supported between sessions.
No, and it isn't a substitute for it. BALANCE is trauma-informed coaching that draws on neuroscience and somatic practice. If something comes up that needs therapeutic support, I'll say so and help you find the right person. Plenty of women do this work alongside therapy - and if you're already seeing someone, you're welcome to take anything from BALANCE into those sessions.
Yes. My practice is trauma-informed, neuroaffirming and LGBTQI+ friendly - you'll always be met with care and consent, at a pace that feels right for you, and you choose what you bring. It's built to work with different brains and ways of processing, too: everything's open from the start so you can move at your own pace, sessions are recorded, cameras are optional, and the weekly practices are real-life and low-pressure, never homework to fall behind on. You don't need to disclose anything to me to get any of this - it's simply how the programme is built, for everyone.
BALANCE is a group coaching programme with a strong educational and awareness side. You become aware of your patterns, get clear on your values, and start practising real change alongside a small group of women carrying the same load. It moves you from preparation into action - and you keep going well after it ends. THRIVE is the deeper, fully 1:1 next step, personalised entirely to you and carrying you through action into maintenance over 90 days. BALANCE is whole on its own, and if you want to go further afterwards, THRIVE is there whenever you're ready.
It's likely a good fit if you're holding a lot, tired of running on empty, and ready to do the deeper work alongside other women - not just collect a few boundary scripts. It's probably not the right fit right now if you're in acute crisis or need clinical mental-health support, which needs a therapist first; if you want fully personalised 1:1 work from the outset, which is THRIVE; or if you're after quick tactical hacks with no interest in the why underneath. If you're not sure, a CONNECT call is the best place to work it out together.
BALANCE is $2,700 NZD, and you can spread that across 3, 4 or 6 months. If you'd rather pay in full it's $2,160, saving 20%. Both are processed securely, and you're welcome to bring any questions to your CONNECT discovery call.
You're in good company - the research shows women are the first to cut their own wellbeing spending when money gets tight, and the practices they cut are the exact ones their nervous system needs. You wouldn't let a critical system at work run this depleted - and you hold far more than any of them. Spending here isn't an indulgence; it's one of the more practical decisions you can make for everything you're carrying.
Once you enrol, your place in the cohort is held for you and the group is built around who's in it, so purchases are final. There are no refunds for a change of mind, non-attendance or a change in circumstances. If something significant and genuinely outside your control comes up, get in touch and we'll talk - refunds in exceptional circumstances are at my discretion, and I'll always hear you out. None of this affects your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act.
You might tell yourself it's not that bad yet, that you should be able to handle this. But the exhaustion, the guilt, the rumination - it's all real, and it's getting heavier to carry.
The way you keep putting yourself last was never something you chose against yourself. It's a pattern you learned long before you had any say in it - that being capable and reliable was how you earned your place. You've been carrying the blame for something that was never a flaw, and been harder on yourself than anyone else ever would.
I know how easy it is to wait for a reason big enough to justify it. I waited for mine, and by the time it came, it took me eight months to find my way back. I built BALANCE to be the support I wish I'd had while I was in the thick of it - whatever that looks like for you right now.
You pour so much care into everyone and everything you hold. This is turning a little of it back towards yourself - not because you've earned it or fallen far enough to be allowed it, but because you deserve the same care and attention you give everyone else. When you're not running on empty, you feel more like yourself again - and the people you love get the best of you too, not just what's left at the end of the day.
